You'll be better for it. I Pin everything!" And they all want to get on that pimping train. What they fail to realize is that images are not Trey's real product - they are all in the name of sucking people in to buy his "process" in the form of ebooks and DVDs. Those who rely on images only for their revenue fail to realize they will be on the short end of the stick.

While the social media whirlwind may work well for wedding and baby photogs, the landscape or purely creative shooter may in effect be slitting his own throat.

Shame on getty for putting yet another nail in the coffin of stock photographers. I guess they haven't screwed them over enough with the changes in contract terms plus slowly melding istock micro in along with the once honoured getty brand.Libbyhttp://ohnostudio.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7553278593406733377.post-36076952663389294082012-03-30T09:53:04.403-04:002012-03-30T09:53:04.403-04:00A very revealing article.

Then the stock photo agency rapes the photographer by taking such high commissions. In the end the photographers loses all right to the managing and marketing of their images.
The final insult is when the photographer discovers the stock photo agency is giving away their work, or selling it in their bargain bins.
Photographers should always be in complete control of their images, but unfortunately there are so many people ( I can't call them photographers) who will give their images away for free, or next to free.
Great photographers should always be in total control of their photographs.PhotoEyeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11650981757587552618noreply@blogger.com
